This is one of the longest time for me to take to complete both scripts as I have to figure out some 'details' on both sides. I was actually doing one of game scripts but one of the writers beat me to it but that's beside the point. After being a fan of Guilty Gear series and the upcoming sequel to the game, I decide to write the game script based on it. However due to a long story script, I separate it with 'Arcade' and 'Story' game script. I'm okay with someone post it with their 'improvise' version of it but only with my permission. However due to some of the events are quite confusing and similar to each other, this script doesn't include it (except the Epilogue). Regardless if anyone wishes me to add it, please email me under 'Final Words' section. * The stage says Japan where most of the cast face Ramlethal there but the actual location is the outskirts of Babylon where they are at a safe distance from the city. * This is based on the English side and not the Japanese side. * Spoiler alert for those who didn't play Arcade mode or play only certain characters. AXL: Argh, damnit... This future again? Not that I've ever been able to pick where I go, but... Why do I have to keep ending up here? [Suddenly he's surrounded by some red background surrounding him.] AXL: WHOA! What the--?! THE ORIGINAL: Axl Low... AXL: Who's there? Who are you?! THE ORIGINAL: The first person to set foot in this realm... The Original. If the time traveler wishes to progress further, he must deliver a message... A message for That Man...The Gear Maker... [Once the red background disappears, Axl drops down to the ground.] AXL: ...Eh?! What the hell was that? Who was that voice? The Gear Maker, huh? ...Damn. Well that's just great. How do I find him?! ------- Stage 7 ------- Axl vs Bedman October 25, 2187 18:06 Nightmare Theater AXL: *gets up* W-Whoa, where am I...? Is this old geezer going to show up again? Brilliant... I've got no idea what he wants me to do, he barely told me anything. Hey! Grandpa! "Original" or whatever you're called! BEDMAN: (Suddenly appears in front of him) Yelling inside another person's dream is hardly good manners. AXL: Great, another wanker. =_= BEDMAN: Hardly. Unlike my present boorish company I am useful, wholesome, reliable, modest, and loyal. And at the very least, compared to someone--you--who's been meddling with causality, I'm quite normal. AXL: Okay, okay, geez... Wait, you know who I am? BEDMAN: Know you? Of course. Who wouldn't? You're a person of interest. Great interest. Top of our list, in fact. AXL: I don't like the sound of that... *Battle* [Despite Axl abilities to hold his ground, Bedman is still standing while Axl is almost out of energy.] AXL: (Aw man, this is bad, real bad... I don't stand a chance against him...) BEDMAN: I'm afraid I can't let you live. You've been marked for deletion. Time to pray. If you pray. Good-bye. [However before Bedman gets to give one final attack at Axl, someone manages to create a blackhole taking Axl away.] BEDMAN: Wh-Wha--?! Damnit! I-No?! AXL: Whoaaaaaa! BEDMAN: I've sealed all possible exits, but... apparently not all of the entrances. Still to penetrate my realm...heh. Hmph. This is not a failure. Absolutely not. Why should failure imply the antithesis of success? Shortsighted. No, far more important things for me to consider. Such as...In a world with no light, darkness is not made up of shadows...Or how a life unborn is not truly alive, but cannot possibly be dead. All words are contradictory. I-NO: (The Original actually tries to communicate? But... why would he contact That Man directly...?) AXL: Hey, wait, you're always hanging out with That Man, right?! Are you curious? Would you like to know why I didn't do anything? Don't take this the wrong way, but you simply weren't an obstacle. Additionally, you played a very important role: Delivering information. Or misinformation. Did you think you were succeeding in your infiltration? Feels like the Backyard. BEDMAN: (voice only) Mm, you're as knowledgeable as your reputation suggests. SOL: ...Who're you? BEDMAN: (appears before him). Hello. Please, call me Bedman. Or something similar. SOL: That's a joke, right? I'm guessing this is your weird dream world... You mention my reputation, that suggests you're not working alone. The Conclave? =_= BEDMAN: He he he. You're awfully funny. No wonder my client is so interested in you. No matter. Unfortunately, I'm afraid you're wrong. You couldn't possibly guess... I'm feeling generous, so it's not Ramlethal. In fact, I've feeling VERY generous: It's not That Man either. Ha ha ha ha, did I raise some more questions? Two? Four? More? Exponentially more?! [Sol does a facepalm.] BEDMAN: Ha ha ha ha, oh, I'm sorry. To be frank, I'm a bit nervous. After all, even if I go all out, I may not be able to break you. That word, "break"... Being unable to break you, you being "unbreakable"... That strikes me as arrogant. All things have a beginning and an end... [Sol turn his back on him, in disgust.] BEDMAN: But "unbreakable" suggests that an object has flouted those laws; discarded its natural limitations. Culture, civilization, everything humankind has created...even the idea of God. Destroy the laws, destroy the things the laws allow. Doesn't that seem unfair? Like how thinking too hard about something makes it MORE difficult? Instead of giving hope you take it away. We might as well discard "morals' entirely! Anyway, I detest long conversations. [This causes Sol to stomp the ground with his right foot.] SOL: ...At least we agree on that. =_=# *Battle* [Bedman manages to go head to head with Sol but Sol isn't the type of guy who gives up easily even after he's defeated.] SOL: Hn... That close? BEDMAN: For the record, "unbreakable" doesn't necessarily mean "cannot be broken." Details details details... Of course, even the unbreakable can wither away... You'd do well to remember that. In any event, it doesn't matter. My work here is done. We couldn't have you meet Ramlethal too soon. No, no that would have been trouble. SOL: ...What? BEDMAN: No doubt we'll meet again! After all, my client is starting to see you as a human. Until next time, "Flame of Corruption". RAMLETHAL: Who are you? BEDMAN: You get the small details all muddled up, and keep overgeneralizing how the world works. Winning fights is not the only way humans can gain victory, you know! "Not losing" can never be a viable substitute for winning. RAMLETHAL: I do not understand the words coming out of your mouth. =_= BEDMAN: You haven't outlived your usefulness yet. When you're finished, you can do whatever you want, but for the moment we need you to leave this plane. RAMLETHAL: I've decided you are going to be a problem. (preparing her weapons) *Battle* ------ Ending ------ RAMLETHAL: What...? You're not going to kill me? BEDMAN: Why ever would I do that? I don't have a reason to kill you. Though I can't exactly let you live. You have an important role to play, and my client has taken a shine to you--though they'd never admit it. In the end, perhaps you're the only person to grasp what we all call "Freedom". Now, time's up. You need to get back to work. But don't worry. I'll be watching! >:D [Bedman is now seen in his own white dream dimension, talking to himself.] BEDMAN: Good. The story is finally moving forward. This planet's history is about to change dramatically--perhaps as much as it did on the day it was created. The Crusade and that silly resurrection will only be a tiny blip on the radar. All boundaries will be abandoned, all shortcomings mended, and all fiction remedied. Incompetence will be met with standards, cheaters will be oppressed by freedom, and the discontent will be trampled upon. The irrational and temporizing behavior that has destroyed our world with be consigned to history, and the World of Absolution will begin! The only remaining problem is That Man. He may not have appeared on stage, but he knows the cast, crew, and lines far too well. If he decides to interrupt our plans, it could undo the work we've done. Which is why I fervently hope the Conclave's plans continue unimpeded...at least for now. Whoops, almost time for me to go. My client doesn't like agents who can't deliver. [Soon a picture of an 8-bit cat appears in an 8-bit house.] BEDMAN: ...A housecat only knows the world its master lets it know, Its freedom has been taken away. So should that cat be dissatisfied to know only a fraction of the world? [Then another 8-bit cat appears outside the house.] BEDMAN: A stray cat, however, may have to fight for survival every day of its life. An exhausting battle. [The stray cat shows the word 'Starve' above its head.] BEDMAN: ... But every possibility is open to the stray. (which shows a thumbs up icon beside it later) [The screen shows Bedman again.] BEDMAN: The definition of happiness, of course, varies from person to person, but what this world lacks is awareness. (Turn his head towards the player) Well then? Wouldn't you agree with that assessment? ***************** 03c) CHIPP ZANUFF ***************** ------ Intro ------ October 21, 2187 13:10 Eastern Chipp Kingdom [Somewhere in the tent, Answer seems to stop his boss or the self-appointed president, Chipp Zanuff.] ANSWER: H-Hey! Anyone caught inside are being disintegrated into dust. As soon as the sphere is large enough, it swallows back as it causes a large explosion, leaving only dusty stormy background around the area. Chipp is seeing a large holographic image of the entire scene during that event.] CHIPP: Damnit! What in the hell is going on here?! RAMLETHAL: Every single one of you is going to die a horrible death. RAMLETHAL: It's all over now. As soon as the Cradle was activated, the future was set. There's nothing you can do to stop it. Of course! Ah, every man needs a best friend. Finally, I can uncover the truth behind my greatest failure... A long and windy road it was...but perhaps my days as a back-ally doctor are through. [Faust begins to take up his medical box.] FAUST: Of course, the sins I've committed since then can hardly be wiped away, but... I suppose I do owe the vampiric gentleman a complimentary dental checkup or two. FAUST: No no, I must thank you for the invitation. Though if you don't mind, I'd like to cut to the chase. SLAYER: Very well, but might we have a short aperitif first? FAUST: Not exactly what I had in mind... But I can humor you. *Battle* [Both Faust and Slayer spar with each other like men, hoping that they still got it. After a couple of rounds...] SLAYER: I apologize for asking you to entertain an old man. Now, as to the reason you've come. As I said in my letter, your malpractice incident was almost certainly staged by the Conclave. FAUST: But I don't understand. Why would they? SLAYER: The details are beyond me. Any more would be speculation. What I do know is that the man responsible for your fall, Zato-ONE, is quarantined in one of the Conclave's underground laboratories. FAUST: WHAT?! I heard he had shuffled from his mortal coil... SLAYER: Then perhaps you should see for yourself. FAUST: But of course. Thank you very much. And if I may be so bold... Perhaps consider a different pastime. SLAYER: Duly noted. Godspeed. ----------- Final Stage ----------- Faust vs Zato-One October 14, 2187 15:21 Opera House FAUST: Zato-ONE...I can't believe it. Alive after all? 0_0 ZATO: You...? So many guests today. If you've come this far, I can guess what has brought you: Your "mistake" ...and the conspiracy behind it. FAUST: Thank goodness we're on the same page. To be quite frank...I confess I feel a powerful urge to slaughter you, as the man responsible for ruining my life. ZATO: All too understandable. Just what is the Conclave trying to accomplish with all of this?! ZATO: To start a war...a global conflict. A war to create a whole new world. ********* 03e) I-NO ********* ------ Intro ------ October 17, 2187 10:01 Cappadocia [Somewhere in the mountain formation area, I-No is seen resting on top of one of the rock formations in Cappadocia.] I-NO: It's almost here...again. No matter how many times I killed Ramlethal, history never changed. But That Man has been led into this cycle... Something has to change. That dull gray world... Time to put it to the test. The first thing I'll do is rip off Sol's ****. ------- Stage 7 ------- I-No vs Sol October 26, 2192 18:20 Babylon in 5 years I-No seems to use her powers to transport Sol into the future as Sol feels a bit dizzy. SOL: Guh...! Spatial distortion...? Aw no, don't tell me you shifted the whole axis?! I-NO: I missed you too, mother******. Venom. However despite that Zato didn't flinch and defeats Millia easily
without harming her.]

MILLIA: (nearly on her knees) This...! It has to be... Is he even STRONGER?!

ZATO: My mind is no longer with me. I have no interest in...anything. And yet,
this empty shell still reacts to one thing... You, Millia.

MILLIA: (Gets up) Zato...?

RAMLETHAL: Suit yourself. Your days are limited. All redundancies will be
eliminated. You can't stop us.

ZATO: I bid you farewell. (leaves but then returns back) But before I do, one
question. While you are right to call me redundant, you seem to use it for all
of humanity as well. I thought perhaps it was simply condescension, but...
perhaps it's more than that.

RAMLETHAL: ...What difference does it make?

ZATO: It would tell me who am I about to fight.

RAMLETHAL: (prepare her weapons) I take back what I said. You might disrupt our
plan after all.

RAMLETHAL: Guh...!

ZATO: Before I finish you, answer my question. Can the activation of the Cradle
be stopped?

RAMLETHAL: it's pointless to threaten me. I'm only a pawn in this game.

ZATO: Then you don't know what happens afterwards?

RAMLETHAL: After...? All of you will die with your world.

ZATO: As I thought!

[A cut scene shows the Cradle begins to activate as a large fiery sphere
engulfs everyone. Anyone caught inside are being disintegrated into dust. As
soon as the sphere is large enough, it swallows back as it causes a large
explosion, leaving only dusty stormy background around the area.]

ZATO: The Conclave's plan has already been set in motion. In truth...I fear I
cannot face this one alone. I may have been reborn, but my sins are not, and
never will be, cleansed. Millia... I fear...I fear for the survival of
humankind. Can either of us ever find the answers we seek...?

04c) Story Mode Timeline vs Arcade Mode Timeline
------------------------------------------------

By the title, there are some events that did happen in the Story Mode BUT there
are some events that never actually happen thus I consider it as an alternative
timeline yet not related to the Story Mode Timeline.

However I have to note that this is basically my opinion and the opinions from
other Guilty Gear players I've asked. The details below are either speculation
and/or fact as we might have different ideas.

Here are the characters that have the label [AT] and [HT]:

Bedman:
* Both Mid-Boss Event and Final Event have the same date and time which makes
it impossible to have both together. However in the Story Mode Timeline that he
did meet Ramlethal before and also a small hint that Bedman never actually
fight Sol before, Bedman's Mid-Boss Event never happen in the Story Mode
Timeline.

Chipp Zanuff
* Chipp Intro Event is true however Chipp meeting up with Ky earlier than Sol
and him fighting Ramlethal alone does not fit in the Story Mode Timeline.
Notably this doesn't fit onto May's Arcade Mode. It's true that you might take
about 4 days to reach Neo Newyork (which I dunno how Chipp manage to find out)
and rush back to Babylon at the same date and time with May but May met him at
the Japanese Colony a day after he meets with Ky. Plus in both Sol and Ky's
Mid-Boss Event, Ky has just appeared after seeing Sol as if he just arrived. So
it's impossible for Chipp to meet Ky in the Story Mode Timeline unless that Ky
has a faster plane or Chipp takes no breaks (that includes food and drink.)
Also May and Chipp's Final Event are at the same time yet May's Final Event
makes more sense than Chipp's since he was there alone.

Faust
* All of the events in the Arcade Mode never actually happen and will say that
Slayer never get to send him a message.
** The first theory is the time between Faust Mid-Boss event and Slayer Intro
event on October 06, 2187. The problem is not the time they take to fight but
it is the information that both men receive. Slayer Intro event reveals that he
just receive the information recently while Faust Intro event reveals that
Slayer knows this information on October 03 or earlier.
*** Of course you might say it might be the date and time problem but in Faust
Mid-Boss event, Slayer says that Zato-One has been sealed in one of the
Conclave's lab and even didn't give Faust an escort to the location,
considering the time in Faust Final Event is a couple of hours after Zato's
escape. Long story short, comparing with Slayer and Faust Arcade Mode, his
Arcade Mode doesn't fit in the Story Mode timeline.
** The second theory is at the very ending of the Story Mode. Chronus is seen
to survive but his day gone worse when he's confronted by Faust who wants to
ask him questions regarding the Colony. Chronus knows the doctor and worried
he's still in for vengeance due to what they did to him in the past. Now if
Faust's Ending is true, he would be a bit more angry and maybe kill him but
Faust calmly says " I would humbly suggest you deal with that on your own
time..." and not asking about his past.
** Long story short with the two theories that I mention, it is unlikely that
the events that Faust occurs in his Arcade Mode never happens in the Story Mode
Timeline.

May
* She's the only character that I'm still trying to figure out since her
storyline seems accurate with the exception of her winning the battle. The main
reason is Chipp himself since in the Story Mode Timeline; May seems to
encounter him at some point wondering why he's there instead of Babylon but
drops the question. There was not much hint whether Chipp did tags along with
May or not. So here are two theories about it:
a) Chipp did in fact tags along with her to Japan but upon meeting with
Ramlethal, both loses quite fast as she's way too powerful. After Ramlethal
causes May's depression due to calling her a 'disease', Chipp takes May away
and tells the Jellyfish Pirates to go to the safe place while Chipp heads to
Babylon to save them. Unfortunately, Chipp didn't make it on time but still
manage to escape from the Cradle's powers.
b) After calming her down at the Colony, before Chipp gets to ask if he could
be his escort, he ask if she knows where Ramlethal is. May tells him that she's
in Babylon. Chipp thanks her, tells her to stay put and make his way there.
With a confuse May, she heads to Babylon regardless of what Chipp tells her.

Potemkin
* His Intro and Mid-Boss Event is true since Zepp mention about Potemkin
writing a report about Bedman in the Story Mode Timeline. But him appearing at
Japan out of nowhere even battling Ramlethal seems a bit ludicrous even after
being trapped in Bedman's world for a few days. My guess is that after his
encounter with Bedman and was released from Bedman's world, he was badly
injured that he has to abort his mission.

Slayer
* His Intro and Ending Event is true since in the story mode he seems to figure
out what the Conclave was up to. However after nearly 2 hours of Zato meets
Millia and Venom after his escape, it is unlikely that Venom has a reason to
guard the place and follow the Conclave's orders. Here's my theory on what
happen based on the Story Mode Timeline:
** Upon arrival, Slayer was supposed to fight the 'bodyguard' (Venom) but he
seems to witness Millia and Venom battling Zato-One. So he joins in to test
Zato-One if he still has the Dandyism thus proving he's the real deal. Of
course one the trio are convince that he's the real deal, thus comes his ending
based on his Final Event.

Zato-One
* If he did fights Ramlethal, Sol, Ky and Sin would have already learn of the
Conclave's true goal especially with the short amount of time difference
between his arrival and Sol's group arrival. Thus this event never happens in
the Story Mode Timeline.

deduce and assume that matches the Story Mode Timeline. (Once again some of it
is based on my opinion and assumption.):

After the battle Zato-One reveals what the conclave is up to while Slayer
realize why the Conclave's true purpose on Zato-One's resurrection, much like
Slayer's Arcade Ending Event.

* 18:06 - Nightmare Theater [Axl Mid-Boss] - This time it is Axl's turn to be
trapped by Bedman's dream realm. However before Bedman dealts a final blow,
I-No manages to 'fish' him out of the place by one of her portals, saving Axl.

October 26, 2187
* 09:17 - Japan Colony [May Mid-Boss] - Upon arriving, Chipp stops her from
entering the Colony and tries to calm her down of her intentions to take out
Ramlethal. After May calms down, May and the Jellyfish Pirates leaves to
Babylon regardless Chipp tags along or not.
* 11:11 - Neo Newyork [Ky Mid-Boss & Sol Mid-Boss] - Ky manage to find Sol and
Sin, hinting he just arrived at the designated location. However Sol decides to
go on his own to take out Ramlethal herself. Both Ky and Sol spar among each
other. Much like Ky's Mid-Boss event, Sol is convince that Ky got a bit
stronger and the trio heads to Babylon without the calvary.
* 18:06 - Nightmare Theater [Bedman Final] - Bedman fights Ramlethal into his
dream realm and didn't kill her even after defeating her since he still needs
her to continue the Conclave's plan.

October 28, 2187
* 11:01 - Japan [I-No Final] - I-No fights with Ramlethal (again in her case).
However this time she was unable to defeat her and decides to retreat back to
the future.
* 13:55 - Japan [May Final] - May arrives and fights Ramlethal. However
Ramlethal defeats her very quickly. Then Ramlethal reveals to her that May is
Japanese and a 'disease'. May's allies quickly rescue the depress May and
leaves the area. Ramlethal didn't bother chasing after them as she sense Sol's
group nearby. Both May Ship II and Royal Fleet One never cross paths with each
other.
* 14:35 - Japan [Ky Final & Sol Final] - Upon arrival, much like Ky's Final
Event, Ky deduce it's a decoy but Ramlethal confronts them and attack them.
After much effort, Sol's group manages to take down Ramlethal but she announces
that she's a decoy. Soon, the Cradle has been activated as it engulfs the whole
Babylon with its fiery sphere while Sol's group could only watch it from the
screen. All the sudden Ramlethal decides to perform a double suicide by
grabbing Sol's neck at a fast pace.

October 22, 2192
* 17:23 - Babylon in 5 years [Axl Intro] - The Original asks Axl to pass a
message to That Man.

October 26, 2192
* 18:20 - Babylon in 5 years [I-No Mid-Boss] - I-No brings in Sol which she
test him if he's worthy. After knowing he has grown stronger and the condition
of his present time, he sends him back from where he comes from.

October 28, 2192
* 18:48 - Babylon in 5 years [Axl Final] - After thanking I-No for saving him,
I-No spars with Axl for a while. After that, Axl reveals that the Original has
send him to pass a message to That Man. I-No decides to help him lead to That
Man and teleports him to the Backyard before Axl gets to ask her to teleport
him back to his present time.

Will take questions from the email below at the Final Words section. Note that
I won't post or take spam, flaming or unrelated questions. To add in, please do
not keep pestering me on doing a game title of your choosing especially if it
is a game that I'm not keen on writing it as a game script. (E.G: Mortal
Kombat: Shaolin Monks).

Q: Did you purposely posed some of the emotion icons during the game script?
A: Yes. It's a safety measure just in case if plagiarizer were to be misuse or
something.

Q: Why was the wording different in the subtitles?
A: Yes...for some who notice it, I double check the way they're saying and the
subtitles. If you did notice there are a few wording in the subtitles are
either wrong or missing. And as for the 'shouting' part (the full Capital
wordings), I did it to make it more realistic to the scene.

Q: Will you be doing a game script for *Title game*?
A: I may or may not but give me a game suggestion. Yes this is my first time
doing the game script. But I don't take games that are too long or doesn't have
much cut scenes.

Well both scripts takes me nearly two months to complete it due to the time
that I'm free. It wasn't very easy writing the transcript as I have to search
for multiple resources even replaying the game itself.
