Missing alt text for cover image descriptions, sorry. Will add those eventually.
Blah blah blah.
Heliogenoms is an 11 issue doujinshi series by Denki Akiba (秋葉デンキ) and the Zanzibar circle that ran from late 1998 to late 2003. Akiba also did work for the Aquarian Age TCG and a bunch of doujinshi for non-Guilty Gear series too, such as Trigun, Psychic Force, Final Fantasy 8, and Kamen Rider Gaim. Under the Yoshisada Tsutsumi (堤芳貞; sometimes "Tsu2mi") name, Akiba illustrated the manga Tokyo Mikaeru and both wrote and illustrated Tale of the Crescent Moon Dragon and Ignite Wedge.
Akiba also did three comics for official Guilty Gear manga volumes:
I first fell in love with Akiba's art when I did the '98 Anthology scans and saw MEET AGAIN, and while googling to see what other art she made, I found her Heliogenoms series. These mostly focus on Sol, but a lot of them feature Johnny too (some even kind of romantically!!), while a few others are ensemble casts. There is at least one non-Heliogenoms Guilty Gear doujinshi Akiba worked on in 2009 that I don't have: 聖☆オヤジさん (St.☆Old Man) with POWERSKILL (Sumihei), set during the Overture era.
Gobanjima's and 神田's website: x-game.cool.ne.jp/brcb/# (BRCB: Bloody Red Criminal Black)
Akiba's other site (under Tsu2mi): http://t-2.vis.ne.jp/#.
Both of these are listed in the back of various Heliogenoms issues at different points.
Akiba mentions using a Zebra G-pen nib, drafting ink, IC Inc. manuscript paper, and screentone sheets for her art on the t-2.vis.ne.jp site's "about" page.
Zanzibar circle: Denki Akiba (秋葉デンキ)/Yoshisada Tsutsumi (堤芳貞; "Tsu2mi"), Gobanjima (ゴバンジマ; ゴバン次). Names that show up in Heliogenoms issues that I don't know anything about: 走床木千, 神田.
Blah blah blah.
