This is the archive for all officially printed Guilty Gear media. Including but not limited to: art books, novels, manga, guide books, and magazines. Note that while some items on this page have unofficial translations by fans, the focus of this page is not on them. Translation status will be listed, but links to them will be over on the translations page. It is organized this way to reduce the size of this page (which is the largest out of all the archives) and because it's a pain in the ass for me to update links on multiple pages.
Please contact me if there are translations in other languages (or I missed something) and I will add them to this post.
Wanna help out but have never scanned a book before? Here's a guide I wrote on book scanning: Tumblr Link
See this page for a guide to the "canon" of Guilty Gear as well as how the hell to get into it all.

4koma:Books with art.
Art book collecting a decent chunk of Daisuke' art from GGX through to early GGXX. Contains more rough sketches than the 2007 sequel as well as an interview with Daisuke in the back.
Art book collecting (most) of Daisuke's work going from GGX through to Isuka. Does not have anything from Overture, despite it being in production around the time this book was published. The webview file is the one with English translations attached; loose file scans are in the .ZIP download.
Collects a bunch of concept sketches for character designs but most of it is roughs for their moves. Has some lore stuff and map design concepts and commentary on how they created them.
Small art booklet with the first half containing staff artworks rewarded to players in Guilty Gear XX Slash and Gear XX Λ Core for completing arcade routes or mission challenges, while the second half of the booklet collects the Guilty Gear Gig articles from Gemaga. Has an Overture preview in the back. Pretty cool.
A collection of mostly concept sketches for Overture units and characters with a small Daisuke gallery in the front. Has 8 short stories in it too. This book is print-to-order on Amazon.jp, so don't let anyone trick you into paying more than about us$60 for it. There is a rarer version that comes with an obi though, and maybe has better paper quality too.
A small artbook exclusive to the Limited Editions of the Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Pack, a bundle release of Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus R for the Nintendo Switch.
A small lore/story glossary exclusive to the Aksys Games limited edition release of Xrd Sign. Lots of interesting lore things in this. Some of it seems to have been translated from the 10th Memorial Book, but some of it seems to be bullshit blazing. Check with some other sources before citing it exclusively.
Small art book included in the special edition release of XrdRev in Europe and Japan. This is a scan of the European book, which is in English (mostly). The Japanese version has a few extra pages and some transcriptions of in-game dialog, but those seem to have been reprinted in the Xrd Series Official Artworks book. Someone kick my ass into uploading a better .PDF for this that wasn't made in Google Docs once Archive's outta read-only mode.
Very decently sized art book collecting a ton of Xrd era Daisuke illustrations, some guest art, concept/design work for every playable character up to Rev2, stage design stuff, the chibis, transcripts of in-game spoken lines, and three short stories. The short stories feature Sol/HOS and Ky; Answer and Chipp; and then Jam and Elphelt for the third one. Translations over on the translations page.
The digital Guilty Gear Strive artbook from the Steam release of the Ultimate Edition of the game. Contains a few illustrations from GGML through to Xrd Rev2 and then the last half of the book is all concept works for Strive. Has some overlap with the Artworks Archive, but also has unique pieces or sketches that had details removed in the Artworks Archive release.
Preorder goodie pack that came with the Switch port of Strive. The pack includes 4 .MP3s and a digital .PDF of some art. There's a little bit of overlap in the content in this and the above Strive Digital Artbook from the Steam port.
Included .MP3s: Just Lean, Extras, Symphony, and Ups & Downs.
This is the small art book that came with the Guilty Gear -Strive- 25th Anniversary Box. Has a lot of the same character concept art that can be unlocked in the game, but a few characters have some new pieces too. There is also a gallery for NPCs, story mode/stage props, and concept art for the stage. I also included scans of the little notecard with a message from Daisuke Ishiwatari.
Book celebrating the 10th anniversary of Guilty Gear. Clear images of some rare illustrations in it that weren't reprinted elsewhere, such as the Isuka arcade ending art. Invaluble lore resource if you know Japanese.
Celebrates Arc System Works surviving for 25 years. Sol's on the cover but has stuff for Blazblue and some other ASW properties too.

This art book had 8 short stories in it that were focused on a character from the game. Sol, Sin, Ky, Valentine, Raven, Izuna, Dr. Paradigm, and That Man.
All 8 short stories, SpanishKy, Sol, Sin's stories were translated from Japanese into English by Noa with editing by Kitsoru & Nainsoo. Raven and That Man's stories were translated from Japanese to English by Shuzaku. Japanese raws for Paradigm, Izuna, and Valentine's stories by Blade. Full file was edited by Volcanic Fighter.

Intro? story to Guilty Gear Xrd included in the Arc System Works 25th Anniversary Official Character Collection art book.
Books with words but this time they show you how to do stuff.
List of missing guidebook scans on this page.
Interesting lore resource. Has the first iteration of what would become the in-game "Guilty Gear World" encyclopedia/glossary in it.
A.B.A. and Order Sol were introduced in XX Slash, so this guidebook has a lot of stuff featuring them. Intro/win dialog transcriptions + Slayer haiku table, too.
Also has scans of the System Data Booklet extra that this guide came with.
A Guilty Gear booklet with 364 different words, terms, and phrases defined and explained in it, some lore and some real-world stuff like game release dates. This is the one with the HOS cover, but there was another one with both HOS and Ky on it. It seems like they have the same info in them and were published at the same time, just at different events. Would like more solid information about this.
[return to navigation]Books with mostly words but some pictures too.
Magazine article showing super early concept art for characters with an interview with Daisuke in the back. Text is in Japanese but Radguy is working on an English translation. There is an English translation of the GG article in this.
Some early concept art for GG2 characters that weren't reprinted in the Material Collection. I don't know who scanned this or how it even ended up on my hard drive, so I rehosted it on Archive.
Free promotional booklet with preview stuff for Xrd Sign and Blazblue X-Blaze and Chronophantasma 2.0 for arcade cabinets. Published in 2014.
History of ASW, popularity poll, some stuff about Strive up to Johnny's release, Daisuke interview.

Manga volumes that haven't been scanned yet are listed over on this page.
The oldest official manga volume. English translation.
No webview.
A short anthology book containing illustrations, short stories, 4koma strips, and some teaser stuff for Strive season 3. It was released as an April Fool's joke in 2024 and taken offline a few days after.
